GSA – Gestión Sustentable del Agua

Sustainable water, today and tomorrow

We are a Mexican company developing infrastructure and services for the sustainable use of water.

Who we are

Three partners, one purpose

GSA is a joint venture created to develop infrastructure and services for the sustainable use of water in Mexico. We bring together experience in concessions, the ability to structure large projects and the know-how to build and operate plants.

A group of Mexican companies with more than 30 years of experience in real estate, energy and infrastructure, specialized in operating government concessions and highly regulated activities.

Partner

A Mexican company founded by the former CEO of Hermes Infraestructura, a company with more than 50 years of experience in large-scale infrastructure projects, including water projects.

Partner

A Mexican company specialized in engineering, construction, operation and maintenance of water and wastewater treatment infrastructure, part of the LATINO Infra group.

What we do

Types of infrastructure we undertake

We develop large-scale water infrastructure for supply, sanitation and the efficient use of water.

Wastewater treatment plants
Drinking water treatment plants
Desalination plants
Pumping stations
Transmission pipelines
Hydraulic works
Integrated water cycle
Irrigation modernization
How we do it

We take on the entire project

We focus on large water projects with private financing and long-term contracts: we structure, finance, build and operate them.

01

Structuring and financing

We develop the project and put together the structure that makes it viable.

  • Opportunity identification and development
  • Technical, legal and financial structuring
  • Financial models and guarantee structures
  • PPP projects and unsolicited proposals
  • Equity investment and financial close
  • Partnerships with strategic partners and investors
02

Engineering and construction

We deliver large-scale infrastructure to the group’s technical standard.

  • Basic and detailed engineering
  • Permitting and approvals
  • Desalination, drinking water and treatment plants
  • Large pipelines and pumping systems
  • Commissioning
03

Long-term operation and management

We stay in charge of the infrastructure for the full term of the contract.

  • Comprehensive operation and maintenance
  • Service level compliance
  • Billing and customer service
  • Asset replacement and renewal
  • Infrastructure handover at the end of the contract
Water & industry

Keeping water from holding operations back

Under Mexico’s new General Water Law, access to water is no longer guaranteed by a concession: for industry, water becomes a strategic variable.

30%of the country’s aquifers have no availability left for new concessions
114overexploited aquifers, three times as many as in the 1970s
15–40%less water available by 2050 in industrial regions
64%of Mexico’s territory was in drought in April 2025

Solutions to operate in the new context

At GSA, we develop the infrastructure that lets industry reduce its reliance on conventional sources and secure the water it needs.

Reuse and circularity

Treatment of industrial and municipal wastewater for reuse in processes, cooling and utilities.

Alternative sources

Desalination, exchanging first-use water for treated water, aquifer recharge and rainwater harvesting.

Efficiency and control

Water audits, metering and telemetry to cut consumption and comply with the new rules.
